What to know
Noritake is a leading Nagoya-based ceramics company with over a century of history. The Noritake Garden (ノリタケの森, Noritake no Mori) occupies the site of its former factory, offering a pleasant green space in the city while introducing the company and its products.
At the Craft Center, you can watch the delicate process of porcelain making or try it yourself in a workshop. The Noritake Museum displays the wide range of ceramics Noritake has produced over the years, from tableware to vases, jars, and even industrial products, electronics, and cutting-edge ceramic technologies.
The garden also features a shop, café, and restaurant. In 2021, a large Aeon shopping mall opened next to the garden, named after it.
Noritake Garden is a 15-minute walk north of Nagoya Station. It is also served by the Meguru loop bus for tourists (12 minutes, 210 yen).
