What to know
Ryukyu Mura (Ryukyu Village, 琉球村) is a compact theme park dedicated to traditional Okinawan culture, designed as a recreated village from the Ryukyu Kingdom era.
The village features a traditional residence with red-tiled roofs and stone walls built to withstand typhoons, a shrine, and various workshops where visitors can try hands-on activities like pottery, playing the sanshin (a three-stringed guitar), weaving a coaster, or painting a small shisa statue.
Several performances and events take place here, including multiple daily eisa taiko drumming shows. Visitors can also enjoy popular Okinawan dishes and browse a wide selection of local souvenirs.
Ryukyu Mura is located in central Okinawa Honto, about 30 kilometers north of Naha.
