What to know
Susukino (すすきの) is Japan's largest entertainment district north of Tokyo. It's packed with shops, bars, restaurants, karaoke joints, pachinko parlors, and adult entertainment venues. For noodle enthusiasts, Ramen Yokocho is a must-visit—a narrow alley lined with shops serving Sapporo's famous ramen.
In February, Susukino becomes a venue for the Snow Festival, hosting an ice sculpture competition.
Susukino Station is one stop from Odori Station (1 minute, 210 yen, frequent departures) and two stops from Sapporo Station (3 minutes, 210 yen, frequent departures) on the Nanboku Subway Line.
