Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo - The Making of Harry Potter

Visitor guide for the Harry Potter Studio Tour by Warner Bros Studio Tour Tokyo

What to know

The Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo is a walk-through attraction that takes visitors behind the scenes of the Harry Potter films. Opened in 2023 on the site of the former Toshimaen amusement park (closed in 2020), it is a 20-minute train ride from Ikebukuro and Shinjuku in central Tokyo.

Similar to the London studio tour that opened in 2012, this Tokyo version has no rides. Instead, guests explore iconic film sets on foot. Digital guides with narration in Japanese and English are available for an extra fee to enhance the self-guided experience.

Highlights include the iconic sets that recreate the movie magic, with one set exclusive to Tokyo. There are plenty of photo ops and activities like green screen experiences: riding a broomstick, becoming a Hogwarts portrait, or joining a Quidditch match crowd. Note that some activities require an additional fee. Visitors can also learn about props, costumes, and detailed artworks from the films.

Several food and drink outlets offer a varied menu, including Butterbeer, the popular wizarding beverage. There are also two shops selling Wizarding World products, accessible only to ticket holders.

The Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo is a two-minute walk from Toshimaen Station, served by the Seibu Toshima Line and the Oedo Subway Line.
