Fukuda Farm

Visitor guide for Fukuda Farm, a Spain-themed farm in Minamata.

What to know

Fukuda Farm (福田農場, Fukuda Nōjō), also known as Yunoko Spain Village, sits on the hills above Yunoko Onsen. It offers sweeping views of southern Kyushu's rugged coastline and its mandarin orchards.

The farm produces a range of homemade products including wines, beer, juices, jam, bread, and salad dressing. These are sold at the souvenir shop and used in dishes at Valencia-kan, the farm's Spanish restaurant.

Visitors can pick mandarins in October and November, and enjoy seasonal flowers year-round. There is also an exhibition of the owner's private collection of turtle figures and toys from around the world.

Fukuda Farm is a 15-minute taxi ride from Minamata Station, costing about 1800-2000 yen. You can also walk from Yunoko Onsen in about half an hour.
