What to know
Fujiten Snow Resort is a compact ski area situated along the northern base of Mount Fuji in the Fuji Five Lakes region. It is the larger of the two ski resorts on Mount Fuji, offering good facilities and stunning mountain views. The other resort is Snow Town Yeti on the mountain's southern base.
Fujiten features a solid selection of runs catering to all skill levels. Its two main courses, each 1300 meters long, are ideal for beginners, while a 500-meter family slope is reserved for those just starting out. The resort also includes steeper advanced runs and a terrain park with large jumps, rails, and boxes that attract skilled skiers and snowboarders. Snow cannons provide artificial snow when natural snowfall is insufficient, which happens fairly often.
Fujiten also boasts a large kids' park where children can sled, learn to ski or snowboard, or simply play in the snow. Admission to the kids' park is 1000 yen per person, but free for holders of full-day lift passes. Some activities require rentals or separate fees.
A taxi from Kawaguchiko Station costs about 6,000 yen one way. During most of the ski season (December 26, 2025 to March 1, 2026), the Fujiten Shuttle Bus runs twice daily between Kawaguchi Station and the resort for 4,000 yen round trip. Advance reservations are required, but same-day tickets may be available if space permits.
